Katie Sullivan

ME. + sister. daughter. friend. teammate. wife. mother. entrepreneur.

Conversationalist.
Crazy curious.
Compassion is my passion.

I am an adventurer who LOVES life.

I desire to live a 'one hat life'.

Here's my timeline to provide some framework to our conversations.

  • 1972 - arrived in the world as the youngest of 4 children.
  • 1976 - my mom passed away in April from breast cancer and my father remarried in November - thank God!
  • 1978 - adorable twin sisters were born so we were quickly a family of 8.
  • 1979 - 1990 - grew up in Hingham MA. Comfortable life with some normal crazy stuff that will come up in my conversations.
  • 1990 - 1994 - attended University of Rhode Island, Div I field hockey scholarship athlete + 2 year captain. Psychology major. Met my (future) husband Dan Oct 1993.
  • 1994 - started working in Boston a couple days after graduation -- needed health insurance.
  • 1994 - 2000 - worked at the Boston Company for one year and then moved on to Merrill Lynch to learn all about financial services and had lots of conversations about money.
  • 1998 - bought our condo in Boston by knocking on the door of the tenants and calling the broker to make an offer.
  • 1999 - married my best friend Dan.
  • 2000 - 2003 - had an amazing opportunity to support one family who had a very complex financial life - did great stuff like fly around the world on a private plane, witnessed an open brain surgery, managed a working avocado ranch & participated in lots of conversations about money and everything.
  • 2001 - bought our home in Dover MA with no kids but a great school system.
  • 2003 - stopped working when expecting fist baby, created and introduced a beautiful daughter, applied to be on Season II of the Apprentice (for realz) and when The Donald didn't pick me, I knew I needed to get myself back to work pronto!
  • 2003 - started my business called Streamline Family Office Inc - providing personalized, professional services  to ultra high net worth clients -- not managing money but doing everything else and connecting all the dots.
  • 2005 - 2008 - worked on business, created and introduced three beautiful boys (4 kids in 4.5 years)
  • 2009 - learned how to breathe and was introduced to meditation at Miraval - started actively figuring out what else I didn't know!
  • 2012 - ran (kinda) the Boston Marathon when it was 90 degrees - raised $16k for Dana-Farber
  • 2013 - participated in an amateur boxing event Haymakers for Hope, trained like Mike Tyson for 4 months and raised $26k for Dana-Farber.
  • 2016 - business grew to 16 awesome families and was trusted with over $2B worth of assets (amazing) yet I woke up and said that I will no longer put myself into situations that deplete me, took stock and had super difficult conversations with clients about our value and fees going forward. Took an amazing trip to Ecuador with Pachamama Alliance for 12 days. Actively pursued whatever felt right.
  • 2017 - created space to figure out how to have a HUGE impact in the world. Getting clear on who I am, what I want and where I want to go.
